UPKira and Pingdom

Pingdom is website monitoring plus real-user monitoring and scripted transactions. UPKira checks a target on a schedule, confirms the failure, and publishes the result on a status page.

Which checks overlap?

Both can request an HTTP URL, watch a TCP port, ping a host, and warn on an SSL certificate. UPKira adds cron heartbeats, DNS records on paid plans, a broken-link crawl, a sitemap sample, UDP with an expected reply, and a PageSpeed Insights score. Pingdom's transaction recorder and real-user monitoring are not in UPKira.

What does confirmation change?

A single slow or failed sample does not open an UPKira incident. The monitor goes suspect, a second check runs, and only then do alerts go out. Pingdom's alerting model is its own. If you want a pageview waterfall from real visitors, Pingdom is built for that and UPKira is not.

Who is the Agency plan for?

Agency is $30 a month, with no monitor cap, white-label status pages, and groups so each client stays separate. It is one workspace bill. It is not a reseller console, and it does not provision a certificate for status.customer.com.

Questions people ask first

Does UPKira record real-user page views?
No. A status page can count anonymous views of the page itself. It does not collect a visitor's browser timings from your site.
Can a low page-speed score page me?
A score under your threshold is degraded, not an outage. A page that does not load is down. If Google is busy, the check is a probe failure and the monitor stays put.
