Monthly plans, cancel any time, no lock-in. Here is what happens when you cancel and when we give money back.
Last updated: October 1, 2026
1. Summary
The Free plan costs nothing and needs no card.
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in US dollars, through Stripe.
You can cancel at any time. Your paid plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then the workspace moves to Free.
We do not refund partial months. We do refund billing mistakes, as described below.
2. How billing works
A paid plan is a monthly subscription. It renews automatically on the same day each month until you cancel. Stripe handles the payment, receipts and invoices. The price is the one on the pricing page when you subscribe, plus any applicable tax. If we change prices, we give at least 30 days' notice under our terms of service.
Until paid billing is enabled for your workspace, no charges are made.
3. How to cancel
To cancel, go to the workspace's Billing page. It opens the Stripe billing portal, where you can also change plans, update your card and download invoices. You can also email hello@upkira.com and we will cancel for you.
There are no cancellation fees or notice periods.
Your paid plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. The workspace then moves to the Free plan.
Your monitors, history and status pages stay in the workspace. On Free, Free plan limits apply. Features and capacity above those limits may be restricted until you upgrade again.
Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account. To close your account and delete its data, email us. Our privacy policy explains what happens next.
4. Upgrades and downgrades
You can change plans in the Stripe billing portal. An upgrade takes effect straight away. The portal shows any prorated charge or credit before you confirm. A downgrade lowers your limits. If your workspace uses more than the new plan allows, you may need to archive monitors or remove members.
5. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry it. While the payment is outstanding, Free plan limits apply to the workspace. Your full plan returns as soon as the payment succeeds. If the subscription ends without payment, the workspace stays on Free.
6. Refunds
Subscription fees pay for access during a billing period and are generally non-refundable. We do not refund partial months, unused monitors or capacity, or a period you forgot to cancel. We will refund:
duplicate charges for the same period;
charges made after your cancellation had already taken effect;
charges caused by a billing error on our side.
We may also refund in other cases at our discretion, for example after a long outage of UPKira itself. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe and usually arrive within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
7. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under consumer protection law where you live. That includes any right to withdraw from a contract that the law gives you and that you have not waived. If the law gives you a right to a refund, we will honor it.
8. How to ask for a refund
Email hello@upkira.com within 30 days of the charge. Include your workspace name, the date and amount of the charge, and the reason. Do not send card numbers. We will confirm whether a refund applies and keep you updated by email.
